It was a hoodie day today.
All day the weather was miserable and if it wasn’t raining it was only because it was about to rain.
People were trudging up and down the street in their raincoats, anoraks, and cagoules with their hoods up.
Even the delivery chaps had their hoods up whether it be delivery coal next door or meat into the butchers.
When I went into the fruit & veg shop someone was buying kindling!
A family came in during the afternoon, their boys picking up lots of free leaflets on Bampton, even the town trail in French and German.
The parents bought a local postcard and fridge magnet and seemed keen on all things Bampton.
As they left the shop they told us that their surname was Bampton so they just had to visit the town.
