Tuesday 9th October

When I got back from the weekend I found this leaflet in the post.

It explains how people on benefits can purchase stamps for this Christmas at last year’s prices.

I wonder how many people that qualify for the stamps managed to throw it away thinking it was junk mail.

I will keep you posted (no pun intended).

Blogs will be intermittent for the next week or so as I’m on holiday but I will see what I can achieve via my phone although I’m not optimistic about putting photos alongside the words.

Something that made me chuckle…

An older gentleman was on the operating table awaiting surgery

And he insisted that his son, a renowned surgeon, perform the operation.

 As he was about to get the anaesthesia, he asked to speak to his son.

 “Yes, Dad, what is it?”

 “Don’t be nervous, son;

Do your best, and just remember, if it doesn’t go well, if something happens to me,

Your mother is going to come and live with you and your wife….”
