My ten pin bowling days are over.
After a day of doing nothing yesterday we ventured out to the Fethiye bowling centre where we met some other friends.
The bowling centre, four lanes, is laid back as you just turn up and play.
After a 20 minute wait we put on our bowling shoes having first remembered to take some socks with us.
It seemed strange putting on socks for the first time in over a week.
Then it happened, the first ball in the last frame, as I raced up I swang back and twang – a pain in the groin .
We then had a second game which was not a good idea as I had to shuffle along to launch the ball.
As you can see from the scores I was severely handicapped by my injury even being beaten by the girlies!
No sooner had the sun gone down when the moon appeared – obviously an inspiration for the Turkish flag designer at the time.
This evening we went to the Chinese Breeze for a cracking meal then on the way home we were enticed into Ali’s bar for a drink whilst we played cards.
In our bar we had the football on, Sheffield Wednesday against Leeds if you can call it footy, whilst in our other ear had to endure Karaoke on the other side of the road .
The bar is owned by Fiak(?) but he put the name of the bar in his brothers name.
They have been there for all the years we have been coming to Turkey and we are always pleased to see each other.
