Rain Stopped Play

Merry Christmas to one and all.

The weather has tried it’s best to spoil the festive period.

On Monday, after we closed the shop at lunchtime I was going to take Son-in-law to the Bridge at Dulverton for some draught Leffe as it is his favourite.

Looked what happened.

This is the same table we sat at last Sunday evening when I mentioned the story about the gas.

Unfortunately the pub has had to close for a few days as the River Barle paid a visit on Saturday night.

Hope they are back in action soon.

My planned entertainment for Boxing Day afternoon has also been scuppered as the heavy rain also flooded the Tiverton Town pitch.

The dressing rooms, Board rooms and medical rooms were also under water so they have requested volunteers to turn up at lunchtime tomorrow to help in the clean-up operation.

It was good to see Tony G appearing on Steve’s blog today along with a great photo of a rainbow taken this morning.

Thanks Bruce. Shame about Tivvy Town and all the other flooded properties.
